By renting Shawnee Hills Hideaway, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Age:  You must be at least 25 years of age or older to rent Shawnee Hills Hideaway.

​

Occupancy:  Each suite is furnished with one king size bed and one queen sleeper sofa.  Maximum occupancy is four guests per suite or eight guests per house rental.

​

Smoking:  This is a smoke free property.  Any and all types of smoking (cigarettes, vaping, or cannabis) are prohibited.  Violation leads to eviction without refund. A $250 deep cleaning fee will be charged for smoking inside. 

​

Arrival & Departure:  Check in is allowed any time after 3:00pm on reservation day.  Self-check-in is facilitated with an electronic door code sent via email before arrival.  Departure time is anytime before 11:00am.

​

Pets:  No pets are allowed on the premises.

​

Cancellation Policy:  As a small independently owned business, cancellations effect us dearly. WE UNDERSTAND that plans change at the last minute. We hope you understand that, as a small business with limited availability, we must enforce our cancellation policies.

​

• To receive a full refund, guests must cancel at least 30 days before check-in.

• If you cancel between 7 and 30 days before check-in, 50% of your reservation will be returned.

• If you cancel less than 7 days before check-in, you’ll be charged 100% of your reservation fee.

• Guests can also receive a full refund if they cancel within 48 hours of booking, if the cancellation occurs at least 14 days before check-in.

Damages: You are responsible for damaged property and contents in the suite during your stay.

​

Items Left Behind:  Personal items left behind may be mailed to the guest at your expense.

​

Nuisance Policy: Guests generating excessive noise or bothering other guests will be asked to leave the premises and held
responsible for the entire amount of stay.

Hold Harmless Clause: I hereby acknowledge and agree that Shawnee Hills Hideaway, Shawnee Hills Vacation Rentals, LLC, and its employees, management, and affiliates shall not be held liable for any accidents, injuries, or loss of, or damage to, personal property that may occur on the grounds or within the suites or duplex. I expressly release them from any such claims, demands, or causes of action.

Laws / Ordinances: You agree that no laws, statutes or ordinances will be violated on the premises, including underage drinking and noise which might disturb neighbors. The relationship between you and Shawnee Hills Hideaway shall be governed by the Uniform Commercial Code of the State of Illinois. You and Shawnee Hills Hideaway agree to submit to the personal and exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located within the county of Union County, Illinois.
